core principles
- Immediate Support - To support individual ministries and community based organizations to care for orphands and vulnerable children by helping them to provide for the immediate needs of the children, such as food, medical care, clothing, shelter, education and job training.
- Priority of Family - A family is the ideal environment for every child and therefore the best outcome for orphans in Sri Lanka and Mozambique, this is not always possible. However, priority will always be given to finding long-term care in a permanent, nurturing and close to a family situation environment.
- Cultural Sensitivity - We are working with locally established Christian partners and organizations that are already immersed in the communities in which we support children. They already know their way around the field, and are able to better identify the needs of the children.
- Self-Sustainability - We partner with and empower community based organizations to create sustainable self-run enterprises whose revenues will provide for the children under their care.
